Musée cantonal des Beaux-Arts Lausanne

New construction of the art museum to replace the existing building. Lighting design and planning of the realisation to Minergie standards for exhibition spaces and all other public zones. Lighting design of the exterior area. In this project we developed an illumination of the exhibitions using the principle of a diffuse light flooding. The seemingly ecclesiastical entrance hall is flooded with daylight through the arched southwardly positioned windows. In the exhibition spaces, which are devoid of day-light, wide light-bands with adaptable colour temperature create a steady basic lightening. In all rooms, accentuating spot-lights can be used for changing the play of light.
