The renovation of the historic headquarters of Zurich Insurance on Mythenquai is skilfully complemented by a new building, creating a new entity. The structure sets itself off strongly against the lakeshore with the tall building detail of the new building in the form of a glass crystal body. The façades and the inner courtyard are enhanced with discreet lighting as part of the Plan Lumières by the City of Zurich. The interior lighting in the new building is largely functional for the office area, which in the representative rooms is complemented by high-quality luminaires using the materiality and design of the glass façade. In the historic and heritage-protected old building, many luminaires were restored and refurbished.
