New stage lighting Grosse Tonhalle Zurich

This special project started with the participation in the idea competition "New stage lighting Grosse Tonhalle". The complex initial situation, such as predefined positioning, the restricted luminaire weight, the avoidance of any glare and the requirements for a bright, homogeneous illumination of the entire stage, confronted us with a great challenge. We made the restrictions in design and the demanding requirements the guiding elements of our design - we won the competition. The luminaire consists of three light sources, three technical elements that are adjustable and have different beam angles depending on their position. They are framed by a curved anodized aluminum plate, forming a simple yet elegant luminaire shape. The simplicity of the design significantly reduces the weight of the luminaire.. The end result is a homogeneously illuminated stage with above-average illuminance levels on the surface of the note stands and a harmonious ceiling in which the new luminaires blend discreetly into its historical context.
