Warmth, brilliance, glow, light as space - The lantern as a symbol for the new illumination of the cathedral The illuminated cathedral is visible from afar, as a landmark and focal point of the medieval old town it points the way to the heart of the city. Like a candle or lantern, the cathedral should appear as a brilliant point of light while radiating warmth, profoundness and comfort. The outer shell allows the interior to be seen through, revealing the warm glow. Inside, an illuminated space unfolds, the multi-layeredness and spatial expansion of the interior can be experienced upon entering.
