The Ann & Gabriel Barbier-Mueller Collection” presents the history of the samurai through their arms and armor. The exhibition reflects the social, military and artistic developments of their times from the dawn of the warrior tradition to the unmistakable mark this military nobility has left on modern popular culture. At the heart of this exhibition are the loans from the renowned private collection of Ann and Gabriel Barbier-Mueller in Dallas, USA. These have been augmented with outstanding weapons from the collection of the Bernisches Historisches Museum.
