Restoration Museum of Design Zurich

Conception and light planning throughout all construction phases. The outstanding example of New Building in Switzerland was extensively renovated and restored to its original form. The lighting in the large hall and in the new exhibition rooms in the basement is designed to be as functional as possible and thus enables all facets of the lighting design for the exhibitions to be staged, from strictly functional to strongly staged. Two highlights can be found in the foyer; shade luminaires - reminiscent of the 1930s - playfully disturb the austerity of the groundbreaking basic lighting. The night-time colour animation developed by matí in 2005 and visible from afar has been preserved.
