Natural History Museum in St.Gallen

General planning of all interior and exterior areas for the new Natural History Museum in St.Gallen. Illumination of the permanent exhibition. The new Natural History Museum is devised as a natural-light museum. A special challenge was to orchestrate daylight and artificial light coherently. We have designed a purpose-built supporting system to be able to install mobile light fittings in the gables. Traffic zones with a calm and serene lighting are purposely contrasted with the dramatic illumination of the exhibition spaces Our exhibition light installation experts have worked on lighting the show cases and walk-in exhibits collaboratively with the firm’s lighting designers.
